Why These Portraits Exist

Most free RPG portraits online either look generic or don’t match the art style of the game. When I started playing Pathfinder: Kingmaker and later Wrath of the Righteous, I spent hours looking for portraits that actually felt like they belonged in the game. Most of them didn’t.

So I started creating my own. Every portrait on this site is made to match the official art direction of each game as closely as possible, then exported in the exact pixel sizes the game requires. No resizing, no cropping, no guesswork.

The goal is simple: you download a portrait, drop it into the Portraits folder, and your character finally looks right.

How the Portraits Are Made

All portraits are free to download. No account is required.

Currently Supported Games

More games are planned (Pillars of Eternity, Tyranny, Wasteland).

How to Use the Portraits

  1. Choose your game and browse by race, class, and gender
  2. Download the ZIP file of the portrait you like
  3. Extract the three sizes (Small, Medium, Large)
  4. Copy the PNG files into your game’s Portraits folder

Detailed installation instructions are available on each game page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the portraits really free?

Yes. Every portrait on this site is free to download. No account or payment is required.

Do the portraits match the game’s art style?

That’s the main focus. Each portrait is refined to stay as close as possible to the official art style of the game.

Can I use Kingmaker portraits in Wrath of the Righteous?

Yes. The portrait sizes are identical. Kingmaker portraits work perfectly in Wrath of the Righteous for shared races and classes.

How often are new portraits added?

New portraits are added regularly, usually several times per week.

Support the Project

All portraits on this site are and will always remain free. Creating high-quality portraits takes time and has a cost (Leonardo AI generation fees). If you enjoy the portraits and want to see more games added, you can support the project on Ko-fi.

Every contribution helps cover generation costs and allows new portraits to be added faster. There is no pressure — the site will stay free either way. Thank you for your support.

Coming Soon

More games are planned, including Pillars of Eternity I & II, Tyranny and Wasteland 2 & 3. Follow the project on DeviantArt to stay updated on new releases.
